Property auctions
Buy at auction, on a timetable you can plan around.
Every lot is introduced by a partner estate agency, comes with a legal pack to read before you bid, and sells on a fixed date. No offers, no gazumping, no chain.

Auctions explained
The difference between the Modern Method and traditional auction, and which one suits which buyer.
Start here
Three things before your first bid
-
Register for the lot
Registration is per lot, not per site, and we check your identity before bidding opens. Leave time for it — you cannot bid while it is still pending.
-
Read the legal pack
Title, searches and special conditions. At auction you buy on the information available, so the pack is the purchase — read it, and have a solicitor read it.
-
Know what you will pay
The guide price is not the final price, and a reservation fee is payable on top. Both are shown on every lot before you bid.
An alternative to the open market
The Modern Method of Auction sits between a private treaty sale and a traditional auction. The buyer pays a reservation fee at the close and gets 28 days to exchange and a further 28 to complete — long enough for an ordinary mortgage application, which traditional auction does not allow for.
It is not automatically the cheaper or the dearer route. What it reliably buys is a decided outcome on a known date.
For estate agents
We take no direct instructions from sellers and we have no branches. Every property here was introduced by a partner agency, who keeps the client relationship and earns a share of the reservation fee.
